Founded by GIKI graduates. ByteSense puts passion back into the art of software development.

About the Company

ByteSense was started by Graduates of GIKI in 2006 Muhammed Nasrullah and Umar Farooq. We started ByteSense because we wanted to create Great Software. During the Internet Bubble and mad-rush of getting IT degrees, bad software was everywhere. From our ever-crashing operating systems to our convoluted cell phones. It was as if the art of creating quality software was dying. So we're set upon making this right.

Technology should make our lives simpler, not complicated. We believe that in technological innovation lie the elegant solutions to problems we are facing everyday. We're especially interested in bringing technology in lives of everybody around us and while doing that, enabling them to simplify their everyday chores.

So, we studied the best of the industry engineers and focused on what were the problems being faced by software engineering practitioners as well as its buyers. We analyzed successful industry practices from Agile Development to old school Waterfall Development, and have came up with a series of best practices which have worked very well for us.

Our Culture

We are an engineering company and we value innovation and creative problem solving. We focus on getting the and brightest engineers to work on the toughest problems. Engineers are required to work with Free or Open Source Software (FOSS) and are strongly encouraged to contribute back to the community. While working at ByteSense, an individual's creativity is always valued and everybody is at will to enjoy his entrepreneurial skills. We encourage our colleagues to come up with ideas and then take the driving seat to transform those ideas into successes.

The Management Team

Muhammed Nasrullah, CEO and co-founder did his BS in Computer System Engineering at GIKI before working as a CTO at his first startup. Not satisfied with the outcome, he moved after an year to work at Ericsson. That's where he worked on large scale enterprise network design and solution architecture.

Muhammed Umar Farooq, President and co-founder studied Electronic Engineering at GIKI and managed its massive network (the largest in the country). Umar left GIKI to join Ericsson working with Intelligent Networks and Business Development.
